Merry Christmas 2009

I made a second card because someone told me that there should be a photo of all three of us on here so I found the one photo taken of us in 2009.

Dear Family and Friends,
We have had a fantastic year! DJ and Valorie are celebrating eight years of marriage in December. At the end of January we will welcome a new baby girl into our family and Ammon will turn five a short time after, at the beginning of February.
DJ is still working at Phoenix Children's Hospital in the Respiratory Department and loves working with the kids there. He works twelve-hour nights throughout the week and is constantly busy. Don’t worry too much, even though he works hard he also plays hard. In his free time he loves to sing, write and play music. He has been perfecting his musical sound and playing frequently with another friend with musical talents. He has been working extra hard over the past two and a half years so Valorie can stay home and take care of Ammon. He loves spending time with family and especially alone time with Ammon. They can often be found playing on the floor in Ammon’s room having a blast with monster trucks, trains and Transformers.
Valorie loves being at home as a stay-at-home-wife and mother. She gets to spend a lot of time trying to perfect her spouse and parenting skills; it’s a rough job with new surprises and pitfalls every minute of every day but beats any job any day. She and Ammon have frequented the library on Wednesdays lately because what kind of an outing during the week is better than a free one? All the free books, audiobooks and movies you can carry! In her spare time she still enjoys making DVDs and playing around with the Macs. She has been dabbling in Photoshop a bit playing with photos and making cards and scrapbook pages. She especially loves spending time with DJ and Ammon. No matter where they are, just being together is enough for her.
Ammon gets taller and smarter every day. He will be finishing up his final year of preschool and will begin Kindergarten in the Fall. Valorie is still not sure how she feels about letting go of her baby, however, with a new baby in the house I’m sure she’ll learn to deal with it. Ammon is very excited for his new baby sister, although I am not sure if he is more excited about her or the new bike he will be getting for his birthday after his sister gets here. In any case he is going to be a fantastic big brother! He is excited to share his room with her but we’ll see how long that one lasts.
We are trying to gear ourselves up now to be a family of four. The excitement has not worn off one bit and I think we are almost more anxious as the day comes closer for her to arrive. There are lots and lots of pink and sparkly things in our home and not just in Valorie’s collection any more.
We wish you and your families all the best! Have a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic holiday season.
With Love,
DJ, Valorie & Ammon Salcido
